Steam Deck Vs. OLED-SWITCH: I met my decision
Both Valves New Steam Deck and Nintendo's Coming OLED Switch have moved me in their spell. But which handheld is the better? My decision has now fallen.
Steam Deck vs. OLED-SWITCH: A difficult choice that does not have to be
Already one day after the announcement of the OLED switch I had pre-ordered the new handheld at the electronics market of my choice - and although I already own the owner of a Nintendo Switch.
Although the changes to the original are minimal, but they are completely sufficient for me to justify a console upgrade. And honestly, I can hardly wait now to finally keep Nintendo's new handheld in your hands!
But then Valve introduced a Switch Pro for PC players with the Steam deck quasi. And what should I say - I also promptly reserved this handheld. Finally, the Steam Deck offers not only clearly potential hardware , but lets me play all my games that I already have in my huge playing library. One of my gamer dreams will finally come true! Sure, switch alternatives such as the Aya Neo or the GPD Win 3 has been there for quite some time, but those who have been thinking of me so far. Valve, however, I fully trust that you can build a competent handheld for PC players.

So quickly open the browser and cancel my order for the OLED switch? That would not come to my dream! The two handheld consoles cover completely different gaming areas. Sure, ultimately, they are both mobile games consoles, but if I want to gamble Nintendo games like the continuation of Zelda: Breath of the wild, leads for me anyway no way past the switch .
On the other hand, the steam deck allows me to gamble numerous games, which are still not published for the switch so far. Either because the developers did not want to port them, or the Nintendo handheld simply did not have enough steam under the hood .

Nothing can replace the switch - but that does not want the steam deck
In other words, the question of whether I either buy the OLED switch or the steam deck, never really put me. Both consoles offer enough unique selling points to withdraw from the respective competitor. With which of the two devices I will spend more time in the end, it can not be said yet - but you can be sure that I would have a lot of fun with both. And that's exactly what it depends on a game console at the end of the day, right?
