The chopping takes place with only a push of a button. On the PC just click on "C" while you need to hold down the corresponding key on consoles, which is "Y". What these buttons do is that they "throw" a bubble-like technique that opens each locked object that is in its AOE. However, there is a hook. You can not open every single item you will find, at least at the beginning of the game, as this hacking technology can actually be improved. And they know what it means to be upgradeable. To improve your hacking, you need to improve your Cyberdeck. Cyberdeck is the console that keeps your character when chopping, which is visible to a short moment when you press the hacking button, and how any other equipment is treated in your loadout.
