PCR test no longer free: Which quick tests are still recommended?

Nationwide tests are an important tool in combating coronavirus. PCR tests apply here as the Gold Standard to examine any infection - these should not be free for most citizens due to the scarcity, but only for risk groups. This was decided at the Prime Minister Conference.

Unfortunately, the commercially available self-tests do not always have a good recognition rate, which can convey false security and literally fatal consequences can have.

That's why the collective Branch has developed the online tool quick test. This allows you to quickly check how high the detection rate of a quick test is still before you buy it. After all, these are not cheap. We'll show you how the application works.

Quick test: So high is the recognition rate really

To check a SARS COV 2 antigen quick test, just call the Quick Test web app. This works well with the smartphone in business as well as at home with the laptop. Allow the tool to use your camera.

Now simply scan the barcode on the packaging to see the results. The information about the recognition rate are easily illustrated. Example:

Mark

  • Detects infected with hole viral load to 100 percent
  • via all virus loads the test detects 56 percent of the infected

So you already know before buying if the quick test is perfect - and get a little more certainty if you visit people from risk groups. Who needs more information about the scientific methodology, types on the button of the same name.
