Ubisoft suspends sales in Russia

In a brief statement released today, Ubisoft confirmed that he will suspend all sales of his Games and Products in Russia, "in the light of the tragedy ongoing in Ukraine." The measure occurs after several other game companies announce similar decisions, including Epic Games, Electronic Arts, Activision Blizzard, Rockstar Games and CD Projekt. Ubisoft is headquartered in France, but has studies located around the world, including a location in Kiev, Ukraine. In a statement earlier this month, Ubisoft revealed the steps he has been taking to support his employees in the region, including salary advances, dedicated direct lines, alternative housing arrangements in neighboring countries and more.

In addition to these steps, Ubisoft has established a fund of 1 million euros for humanitarian support for the members of its team located in the Ukrainian capital. Finally, the company also committed to supporting the Ukrainian Red Cross, Save the Children and more. There are several different charities that are currently helping families and children in the region, including GlobalGiving. Last week, The Pokémon Company announced plans to donate $ 200,000 to that specific beneficial organization for humanitarian aid.

The Russian invasion of Ukraine has also resulted in the detention of development in acosator 2. The long-awaited game would be launched at the end of this year, but like the Ubisoft study in Kiev, the GSC Game World developer is also located in the Ukrainian capital. The company announced that the development will continue "after victory", since team members will focus on the safety of employees and their families.
